Outdoor enthusiasts from across the region will come together this Saturday, Aug. 22, for an evening of food, fellowship and fundraising during the SWVA Sportsmen Annual Banquet.

Doors will open at 3 p.m. for the annual event, which supports wildlife habitat, outdoor education and conservation efforts throughout Southwest Virginia.

The banquet will feature premium firearm raffles, outdoor prizes, games and other opportunities for guests to support the organization’s work. A meal will also be served as sportsmen, families and conservation supporters gather to celebrate the region’s outdoor heritage.

Organizers say the banquet is about more than having an enjoyable evening. Money raised through the event will help preserve land, protect wildlife, educate future generations and promote responsible outdoor recreation.

With its focus on preservation, education, wildlife, habitat enhancement and outdoor recreation, SWVA Sportsmen is working to ensure that Southwest Virginia’s outdoor traditions continue for generations to come.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children ages 12 and younger.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.swvasportsmen.com or by calling 276-935-5903. A direct ticket link is also available at https://secure.qgiv.com/event/2026swvasportsmenbanquet/.

Organizers encourage residents to purchase their tickets and join them Saturday for an evening devoted to fellowship, conservation and building a lasting outdoor legacy in Southwest Virginia.
