Students at two of Buchanan County’s higher education institutions will have an opportunity to connect with the community during upcoming business fairs at the Appalachian School of Law and Appalachian College of Pharmacy.
The events are designed to welcome students to their respective schools while introducing them to the businesses, organizations and services available throughout Buchanan County. They also give local organizations an opportunity to show students what the county has to offer during their time here — and what could encourage them to remain in the area after graduation.
The Appalachian School of Law will host its Business Fair and Welcome Back Luncheon from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25. The event will be held in the courtyard and Lions Lounge inside the school’s main building in Grundy.
Local businesses and organizations interested in reserving a table at the ASL event should contact Patty Street at 276-244-1215 or [email protected] by Aug. 20.
The Appalachian College of Pharmacy will hold its annual Business and Services Fair from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, in the Garden Hall Gymnasium at the college’s Oakwood campus.
The pharmacy college’s event will highlight businesses and services available in the local area, helping students become more familiar with the community they will call home while completing their education.
Businesses and organizations interested in participating in the pharmacy fair should RSVP to Donna Horn at [email protected] by Aug. 31.
