As summer winds down, the Buchanan County Public Library invites families to celebrate with an afternoon of food, fun and tropical flair at its End of Summer Luau later this month.
The free event will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Buchanan County Public Library, 1185 Poe Town Road in Grundy.
Guests can enjoy barbecue sliders and Hawaiian ice while taking part in a tropical-themed celebration marking the close of the summer season.
The library encourages residents of all ages to attend and enjoy an hour of fellowship with friends and neighbors before the busy back-to-school season gets fully underway.
The End of Summer Luau is one of several community events the Buchanan County Public Library has hosted throughout the summer to bring families together through fun, educational and seasonal activities.
