The Buchanan County YMCA is looking to expand its lineup of community programs and is seeking instructors to lead a variety of classes and activities.
YMCA officials are encouraging energetic, motivated and passionate individuals to apply to teach programs designed to promote health, wellness and community engagement. Organizers say instructors will be paid by the class and will receive support from the YMCA in developing and leading their programs.
Openings are available in several areas, including group fitness classes such as Zumba, HIIT, spin, strength training and other exercise programs. The YMCA is also seeking instructors for yoga and mindfulness classes, dance and ballet, aquatics, youth programs and other specialty activities.
Officials say the instructor positions offer flexible scheduling, allowing individuals to teach classes that fit their availability while sharing their skills with others. In addition to earning compensation, instructors will have the opportunity to help improve the community’s health and well-being while building lasting connections with participants.
The recruitment effort is part of the YMCA’s continued commitment to expanding recreational and wellness opportunities for residents of all ages throughout Buchanan County.
