Buchanan County residents will have an opportunity to meet face-to-face with members of U.S. Rep. Morgan Griffith’s staff when the congressman’s traveling office visits Grundy on Tuesday, July 14.
District staff will be available from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Town of Grundy Offices, 1185 Plaza Drive, to assist residents with questions, concerns or problems involving federal agencies and services.
The traveling office hours are designed to make it easier for constituents to receive assistance without having to travel to one of Griffith’s permanent district offices. Staff members can help residents who are experiencing difficulties with federal agencies, answer questions about federal programs and services, and ensure concerns are shared with the congressman’s office.
No appointment is necessary, and residents are encouraged to stop by during the scheduled office hours.
The Grundy visit is part of a monthlong outreach effort across Virginia’s Ninth Congressional District. Staff will make stops in Scott, Lee and Wise counties on July 8; Giles, Bland, Wythe, Radford, Smyth and Pulaski on July 9; Richlands and Grundy on July 14; Carroll County, Galax and Grayson County on July 15; Tazewell and Lebanon on July 16; Craig County and Roanoke County on July 21; Henry, Patrick and Floyd counties on July 22; Bedford and Franklin counties on July 23; and Dickenson County, Norton and Wise on July 28.
Officials encourage anyone who needs assistance with a federal matter or has questions for Griffith’s office to take advantage of the visit while staff members are in Buchanan County.
