It has been a busy two weeks for Buchanan County Little League. After celebrating homecoming two weeks ago, the Southern Gap Eagles football players and cheerleaders returned to the spotlight last Friday for Little League Night on Smiley Ratliff Field at the Red Roberston Sports Complex
Wearing their jerseys and cheer uniforms despite the cool weather, the Smurf, Peewee and Midget football and cheer teams were recognized during pregame festivities before Southern Gap’s varsity football team defeated Honaker 46-10. For the young Eagles, it was a chance to stand on the same field as the players they cheer for on Friday nights.
