We didn’t get to church this morning, and I couldn’t find the service online. I’m not sure what happened. I do know that Brother Scotty Coleman brought the message.
I found out Sunday morning that we lost another precious lady in our church. Sister Pauline Wilson passed away Saturday night after so much sickness. Her son is our pastor, Brother Eddie Wilson. Prayer warriors, help me pray for her family. They are heartbroken.
I have a praise report. The report on my mammogram came in the mail Monday, and thank you, God, everything is normal.
We both have a big praise report. No details, but after waiting six weeks for a ramp for Ray to be built, everything fell through. I was so disappointed and near tears, but some men from our church stepped up. They came Monday morning and measured, ordered everything they needed and showed up early Tuesday morning to start building. By 2 that afternoon, we were walking across it into the garage. They’re coming back Saturday morning to finish up. This was God’s plan all along. I don’t know how anyone can get along without a church family.
Saturday morning, bright and early, the men from our church showed up and finished the bridge project for Ray. He can now get out of the house safely and get to the garage, driveway, truck, side-by-side, etc. This will make such a difference and is an absolute blessing. Thanks to Ted, Steve, Billy, Herman, Dave and Buck for giving up their Saturday. We love our church family.
A reminder that the mobile food truck, Feeding Southwest Virginia, an equal opportunity provider, will be at the Grundy Community Center on Wednesday, Aug. 26. The truck arrives about 9 a.m., and the giveaway starts about 10 a.m. This is a drive-thru event. Stay in your car, and we will come to you.
