Our Summer Concert continues with another evening of music on The Courtyard at The CAM. Join us on Thursday, August 20, as our Third Thursday Summer Concert Series continues with one of Southwest Virginia’s own, Thomas Taylor.
If you’ve spent much time in our region, chances are you’ve heard Thomas long before you’ve seen him on stage. Whether he’s greeting listeners during the morning show on 107.3 WXLZ or entertaining crowds throughout the area, Thomas has become a familiar and trusted voice, proudly carrying the torch for traditional country music. A native of Honaker, he represents everything that makes our area special.
Thomas’s acoustic performances strip country music down to its roots. Armed with nothing more than a guitar and an unmistakable voice, he transforms every show into an evening of storytelling and shared memories. Fans can expect to hear timeless favorites from country legends such as Conway Twitty and Travis Tritt, along with classic Elvis Presley hits delivered with remarkable authenticity. It’s the kind of music that invites audiences to sing along, tap their feet, and remember why these songs have stood the test of time.
There’s something especially fitting about welcoming Thomas to The CAM. Our Third Thursday Summer Concert Series was created to celebrate local talent while bringing our community together in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Thomas embodies that vision perfectly.
Of course, no Third Thursday would be complete without great food. We’re excited to welcome Dave’s Dawgs Food Trailer, which will be serving delicious favorites throughout the day and during the concert. Bring your appetite, grab dinner in the courtyard, and settle in for an evening of outstanding entertainment. Beer, wine, and other beverages will also be available for purchase in the concession.
One of the things we’ve loved most about this inaugural Summer Concert Series is seeing The Courtyard come alive month after month. Families spread out in lawn chairs, friends catch up over dinner, children dance in front of the stage, and neighbors discover new artists while supporting local businesses and performers. It’s exactly the kind of community experience that we envisioned.
