Two Buchanan County East Little League baseball teams had the opportunity to represent their community on the diamond in late June as the league’s 11U and 12U All-Star teams competed in district tournament play.
The 12U All-Stars finished the tournament with a 1-2 record while competing against some of the area’s top teams.
Players on the 12U roster were Maddox Meadows, John Vencill, Eli Looney, Colton Clevinger, Grayson Rice, Lane Owens, Brantley Ward, Lincoln Baldwin, Ace Cochran, Jase Hardin, Hunter Deel, Jaxon Horn and Colten Crouse.
The team was coached by Jason Ward, Matthew Crouse and Shannon Rice.
The Buchanan County East 11U All-Stars also proudly represented the league during district competition. Although the team finished 0-2, the tournament provided valuable experience for a young group of players as they competed against quality opponents.
Members of the 11U team were Jackson Dye, Jason Colley, Chanan Cooper, Aden Boyd, Dalton Hockman, Ian Viers, Walker Yates, Mason Smith, Eli Cochran, Ledger Baker, Hunter Cooper, Easton Stevens and Noah Horn.
The 11U team was coached by Tyler Cooper, Charlie Cochran, Chris Smith and Chad Cooper.
