Greg Rife of Grundy catches his breath in his corner while Buchanan County Club coach Nathan Robinson gives him instructions during the main event of a sold-out boxing card on June 20, 1981, at Grundy High School during his match with Willie Richardson in the 132-pound division. Richardson, ranked fourth in the All-Southern rankings, was battered in the corner by the hard-hitting Rife before the bell ended the final round. Rife went on to win by decision and received a standing ovation from the crowd.
