Once again, our church service wasn’t on Facebook. I’m not sure what’s going on.
Harman Freewill Baptist Church has announced the dates for their upcoming Vacation Bible School. The theme is Glow Go Light Our World. It will be held July 26, 27 and 28th from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Happy 91st birthday to our Uncle Apple Jack.
I finally started mowing our yard today, and it’s a mess, in places above my knees. I got about half the front yard mowed and raked; hopefully I can finish tomorrow.
Thursday morning, I had a couple of errands to run, then I went and got my turkey-and-dressing dinner and Ray’s cheeseburger and fries. No cooking today.
The man came Saturday and cut our weeds; it was a mess. Hopefully, I can get it evened out next week. He did a great job, and it looks so much better.
Feeding my Sheep had their giveaway, and they served 450 households.
Reminder: the mobile food truck, Feeding Southwest Virginia, an equal opportunity provider, will be at the Grundy Community Center on Wednesday, July 22nd. The truck arrives about 9:00, and the giveaway starts about 10:00. This is a drive-thru event; stay in your car, and we will come to you.
Important reminder: the mobile food truck giveaway in Grundy is always on the fourth Wednesday of each month. This month has five Wednesdays.
Reminder: the Buchanan County Humane Society will hold a Back-to-School yard sale at our office behind the old Grundy High School on Thursday, August 6th, from 8 a.m. until noon. All clothing is $1 per item.
